J&K Legislative Assembly Constitutes Departmental Promotion Committee for Staff Promotions
Srinagar, July 16: The Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly has constituted a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) to consider the promotion of its employees in accordance with the applicable service rules. The move is aimed at ensuring timely career progression, addressing long-pending promotion cases, and enhancing administrative efficiency within the Assembly Secretariat.
The committee will examine the service records, eligibility criteria, seniority, and other relevant parameters of eligible employees before making recommendations for promotions to the competent authority. The initiative is expected to streamline the promotion process and boost staff morale by ensuring that deserving employees receive career advancement in a transparent and merit-based manner.
Officials said the constitution of the DPC reflects the Legislative Assembly Secretariat’s commitment to maintaining an efficient administrative framework while ensuring that promotions are processed in accordance with established government norms and service regulations.
